According to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, President Biden tested positive after attending an event in Las Vegas. Despite being vaccinated and boosted, he is experiencing mild symptoms. The president will self-isolate at his beach home in Rehoboth, Delaware while continuing his work, as per the White House.
The president’s doctor reported that he is facing upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose and non-productive cough, along with a general feeling of sickness.

President Biden underwent a rapid COVID-19 test when he started feeling unwell, which came back positive. A PCR test to confirm the results was pending as of Wednesday afternoon.
Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Biden’s doctor, mentioned that the president’s respiratory rate, temperature (97.8), and pulse oximeter reading (97%) were all within normal ranges. President Biden received his first dose of Paxlovid.
The President and CEO of UnidosUS, Janet Murguía, conveyed President Biden’s disappointment at not being able to attend the event due to his COVID-19 diagnosis. She emphasized the importance of him taking necessary precautions to prevent any further risk.
