FARGO, N.D. — Kalispell Flathead graduate and Oklahoma signee Anders Thompson placed fifth at 190 pounds at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals freestyle wrestling tournament Wednesday.
There were also four girls wrestlers from Montana that placed at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior and 16U Nationals freestyle tourneys.
Meadow Mahlmeister of Lockwood had a sixth-place finish at 136 pounds in the 16U division. Gretchen Donally of Huntley Project also placed sixth in the junior 155-pound class. Paige Gershmel of Billings Senior was seventh in the junior 135-pound class and Tirza TwoTeeth of Ronan was second in the junior 235-pound class.
