BILLINGS — The Red Door might be its name, but blue and black were the predominant colors at the west end establishment on Friday afternoon.
During the official Billings Outlaws ArenaBowl watch party, a large crowd gathered and cheered loudly, exchanging high-fives, “Woos”, applause, and conversation.
The scene was reminiscent of 2010 when a previous iteration of the Outlaws claimed a national championship.
This time, Billings — with five touchdowns from Isaac Harker to Duane Brown — secured a 46-41 victory over the Albany Firebirds at the American Dream Entertainment/Retail Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Outlaws, seeded first for the playoffs, ended the season with a 9-1 record. No. 2 Albany finished the season at 8-3.
Harker completed 16 of 27 passes for 184 yards in the game, while Brown made nine receptions for 125 yards.
