GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Did you know Great Falls is one of two places in Montana where you can still watch horse races? Find out where to go and more of the great things to do in Great Falls this week with Shannon Newth.
Great Falls Turf Club horse races
The fair hosts three weekends of horse racing in Great Falls, which will wrap up next weekend, July 28.
Tickets to the races are $8 at the grandstand, and people under 18 years old get in for free.
Additionally, during the fair’s closing weekend, admission to the races is included in the general fair admission!
The results of previous weeks’ races can be found on the Great Falls Turf Club website.
Montana State Fair
From July 26 until August 3, the midway at Montana Expo Park will transform into a fun family affair.
Vendors with classic fair food (excluding the Vikings meatball) are preparing their set up along the midway at the state fair. There will be roaming acts of different entertainment acts all throughout the fairgrounds this year as well.
There’s four nights of PRCA rodeo again happening in the arena just beyond the grandstands.
Some big acts will also appear like Tape Face from America’s Got Talent, comedian Jeff Dunham and Trace Adkins as well.
Downtown Summer Jam
The second of a three-show series takes the stage in Great Falls for the Downtown Summer Jam.
