Mamie Laverock expresses gratitude as GoFundMe supporters generously donated over $28,000 to aid in her recovery from a medical crisis and a subsequent five-story fall.
In a heartfelt message posted in a GoFundMe update last week, the When Calls the Heart actor echoes her thanks, saying, “Thank you so much. My heart is full. Thank you again. I have no words to describe my gratitude. Love you guys. Thank you.”
Following their decision to close the fundraiser, Laverock’s mother, Nicole Rockmann, and stepfather, Rob Compton, shared a message expressing deep appreciation for the support received during a difficult time.
Supporters demonstrated their generosity over two months with 641 donations amounting to $39,022 in Canadian dollars, or approximately $28,333 in U.S. dollars, surpassing the campaign’s initial goal of 30,000 CAD, as reported by People.
The campaign was initiated by Rockmann and Compton in response to Laverock’s medical emergency in Winnipeg, followed by a tragic fall from a balcony, resulting in life-threatening injuries and extensive surgeries.
Despite the challenges, the family remains grateful for the outpouring of support and hope for Laverock’s continued recovery, expressing thanks to all who have been a part of her journey.
As Laverock marked a birthday in the hospital, her parents conveyed her appreciation to Johannah and Erin, likely referring to When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow and Johannah Newmarch, reaffirming the sense of community and hope embodied by the show.
