LSU cornerback Javien Toviano surrendered to authorities in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Sunday following an arrest warrant issued for suspicion of video voyeurism. According to the warrant, Toviano allegedly filmed himself engaging in sexual activity with a woman without her consent to be recorded. The woman informed the police that Toviano had previously recorded their sexual encounters without her permission, and she had explicitly expressed her objection to being recorded. She discovered videos of their encounters on Toviano’s iPad, which were recorded by a clock with a hidden camera placed near the bed. Toviano confessed to detectives that he had used the hidden camera for this purpose. LSU has suspended Toviano from all team activities, as stated in their official announcement. The team’s preseason camp is set to commence on August 1st. Toviano, a top-100 recruit from the Class of 2023, participated in 13 games as a freshman, tallying 33 tackles, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery. –Field Level Media
