After a week-long break for co-host Bruce Miller to mingle with Hollywood’s elite in Los Angeles, the show is back and dives into analyzing the Emmy Nominations.
“Shogun” and “The Bear,” two popular shows on FX, seem to be frontrunners in the drama and comedy categories, respectively. However, there are doubts about whether “The Bear” truly fits into the comedy genre. There’s a strong feeling among voters that its classification is incorrect. Additionally, the Netflix sensation “Baby Reindeer” is poised to dominate the limited or anthology series category.
We also feature an interview with Mark Umbers ahead of the third season of “Hotel Portofino,” premiering on July 28 on PBS.
And let’s not forget about the blockbuster film of the moment, “Twisters,” the sequel to the 1996 movie “Twister” that stands on its own and lives up to its predecessor. Co-host Terry Lipshetz was left amazed after taking his family to see it at the IMAX theater.
