The rivalry between Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery in the streaming service industry has led to a powerful new alliance. Marvel and DC superhero universes will now be combined and offered to users at home as part of a new streaming bundle, launched on Thursday.
Customers can now enjoy their favorite Disney princesses, binge-watch “Harry Potter” on Max, and keep up with “The Kardashians” on Hulu with one plan. The companies claim that this bundle will save customers up to 38% monthly.
Depending on the plan chosen, customers can opt for the no-ads plan at $29.99 per month or the ads plan at $16.99 per month. Even with ads, customers can still save 34% monthly on the three streaming services.
While the three apps will remain separate, the bundle brings together entertainment brands like ABC, Discovery, Food Network, FX, HBO, HGTV, Pixar, Searchlight, Star Wars, CNN, and more.

According to Deloitte’s Digital Media Trends report, consumer interest in bundles to save money on streaming is high. The partnership between Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery aims to attract more subscribers and improve retention rates in the competitive streaming market.
Disney already offers a bundle of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Warner Bros. Discovery, ESPN, and FOX are also collaborating to launch a sports streaming app in the fall, which will cover a variety of sports events.
