ALGOMA, Wis. (AP) — Marine archaeologists have found the wreckage of a schooner that sank in Lake Michigan in the late 1800s. The Wisconsin Underwater Archaeology Association announced that they found the Margaret A. Muir in 50 feet of water off Algoma, Wisconsin, on May 12. The Muir was a 130-foot, three-masted schooner built in 1872. It sank during a storm on Sept. 30, 1893, while en route from Bay City, Michigan, to South Chicago, Illinois, with a cargo of bulk salt. The crew made it to shore in a lifeboat, but Captain David Clow’s dog was lost in the sinking.

The nearly 165-pound Pacific walrus arrived for care after being rescued in Utqiagvik. While malnourished and dehydrated, the calf is alert and receiving necessary treatment.

Harvey Weinstein hospitalized with COVID-19 and pneumonia
NEW YORK (AP) — Harvey Weinstein has been transferred from a New York City jail to a hospital for treatment of various health issues, including testing positive for COVID-19 and having pneumonia in both lungs. Weinstein is also being treated for diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, and fluid on his heart and lungs while awaiting trial on rape and sexual assault charges.
