Mediterranean Grill honored for its wine
The Mediterranean Grill in Helena has received recognition from Wine Spectator’s 2024 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the top restaurants worldwide for their wine selection.
The restaurant was chosen from a pool of 3,777 dining establishments across all 50 U.S. states and over 75 countries.
The restaurant, located at 42 S. Park Ave., boasts nearly 150 wine selections according to the magazine and has been a recipient of this honor since 2013.
“The restaurant industry is growing and thriving, with restaurant openings surpassing pre-pandemic levels for the first time. To take advantage of the uptick, restaurateurs are investing in their wine programs,” said Marvin R. Shanken, editor and publisher of Wine Spectator.
The Restaurant Awards program, established in 1981, is the only one of its kind focusing solely on restaurant wine service. Awards are given at three levels: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence, and Grand Award, with 2,150, 1,531, and 96 winners respectively this year.
