Saints backup quarterback Jake Haener revealed on Friday that he has been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer. Haener shared that he received the diagnosis right before the start of training camp and considers it to be a rare case. Following concerns about a bump on his face, Haener visited doctors and received the news about the cancer. Fortunately, Haener mentioned that the cancer is currently not life-threatening. The 25-year-old is entering his second NFL season after not playing during his rookie year last season. Haener was drafted by the Saints from Fresno State in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. –Field Level Media
