Former supporters of Amb. Nikki Haley who are now backing Vice President Kamala Harris have declared that they will not stop their support after receiving a letter on behalf of Haley.
The group’s campaign originally supported Haley through a PAC over former president Donald Trump. Following Haley’s primary loss, they shifted their support to President Joe Biden and now Vice President Harris with the Democratic ticket change.
Even though Haley received nearly 20 percent support during the Republican primaries, she has since endorsed Trump.
“PivotPAC has sincerely tried to show respect for Ambassador Haley and her supporters, regardless of their decision on who to vote for in November. PivotPAC previously believed, and still maintains, that Ambassador Haley was the best choice for the country over former President Trump. We now believe that Vice President Harris is the better choice,” they stated in response to the press statement.
“The claim that PivotPAC is intentionally deceiving the public is baseless and defamatory,” they added, asserting, “We will not stop and our right to free speech under the First Amendment will not be silenced, as our ‘Haley Voters for Harris’ campaign fully complies with the law.”
Following the letter, the group reported receiving small donations along with messages supporting them to be called ‘Haley Voters for Harris.’

As the group focuses on engaging those who backed Haley in the primaries, they are exploring effective messaging strategies among center-right voters in light of the Democratic ticket change and planning to launch a substantial communication campaign.
“We believe there’s a group of voters who have made a strong statement, signaling to the Republican Party that they do not support Donald Trump and do not view him as the face of the party. Not all are ready to vote for the Vice President yet. Our task is to provide them with information and persuade as many as possible,” said Craig Snyder, the director of Haley Voters For Harris.
The group intends to test their messages with panels of undecided center-right voters in swing states.
Snyder acknowledged that they anticipate the Trump campaign to portray Harris as extreme, but he emphasized Harris’ background as a prosecutor.
“This is someone who has spent most of her career as a tough-on-crime prosecutor. In fact, her main challenge in the 2020 presidential race was from the left, with left-leaning individuals thinking she was too conservative, especially on law and order matters,” Snyder noted.
Since the group reported the ticket change, they, like the Harris campaign, have emphasized enthusiasm.
The campaign, previously under the Biden-Harris ticket, had already included a former GOP lawmaker’s chief of staff to lead their outreach to Republicans.
“Our democracy thrives when Americans speak up and engage in the electoral process. That’s exactly what millions of Republicans did this year as they rejected Donald Trump’s extremism in the primaries and continue to speak out against his unfitness for office. Those voters are welcome in the Harris campaign’s coalition,” said Austin Weatherford, the campaign’s national Republican engagement director.
Meanwhile, Haley defended her decision to support Trump in an interview with CNN, highlighting the importance of choice and unity among her supporters.
A recent poll by Morning Consult revealed that 5% of Republicans and 40% of independents supported Harris, while 38% supported Trump.
