The 2024 Summer Olympic Games are underway with a spectacular Opening Ceremony on Friday night from Paris.
Thousands of athletes from across the world will represent their countries in more than 300 events across 32 sports.
The United States boasts nearly 600 athletes who will represent the Stars and Stripes as the favorite to win the most medals in these Summer Games, which end Aug. 11.
And one of those sports where the U.S. is expected to do well is men’s golf.

2024 Olympic golf odds, preview & predictions: Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler favored in Paris
From the United States, favorite and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (+350) tops the odds list, followed by Xander Schauffele (+650), who just won the British Open at Royal Troon to give him his second major championship of the season after winning the PGA Championship in May at Valhalla. Schauffele was also the gold medalist at the last Olympic Games.
Collin Morikawa (+1200) and Wyndham Clark (+4500) round out Team USA. All four American golfers are major champions.
Le Golf National hosted 2018 Ryder Cup
The men’s event will tee off Aug. 1-4 at the Le Golf National course in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, which hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup. The four-day, stoke-play event will award the top three finishes with gold, silver, and bronze medals.
