If you’ve noticed Glen Powell popping up everywhere recently, you’re not mistaken. And get ready to hear more from him as well.
The Hit Man and Twisters actor is set to guest star on the upcoming season of Family Guy for its Hulu-exclusive Halloween episode. He will be playing a character named Patrick McCloskey, who is described as the reigning champion in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest.
The episode’s logline reads: “Peter and his friends aim to unseat the reigning champion (Glen Powell) in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest by any means necessary.”
This special episode will also feature Derek Jacobi as Rupert, Stewie’s beloved teddy bear. A Christmas-themed special episode is also on the horizon, though details are still under wraps.
While Fox has not announced a release date for Season 23, they did offer a preview of what’s to come, including Peter’s lack of ball-throwing ability, Meg dating the giant chicken’s son, and Chris getting caught up in a Lord of the Rings-inspired adventure. Stewie will discover Rupert was made in China and embark on a mission to reunite him with his family. The Griffin family will also take on a parody of The White Lotus as they vacation at a luxury resort.
A video teaser for the new season hints at a parody of Powell’s hit movie, Top Gun: Maverick.
