Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson may be out for several weeks due to an ankle injury. In response, Pittsburgh has signed Tarik Black and released defensive tackle Jonathan Marshall on Wednesday. Wilson suffered the injury during Tuesday’s practice and had to be carted off the field. Fortunately, tests showed that it is not a long-term injury. Wilson was competing for the No. 2 receiver position this season, behind George Pickens. With Wilson sidelined, the Steelers are facing depth issues at wide receiver. If Wilson is out for an extended period, Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin III will likely join Pickens in three-WR formations. Black, who previously played for the Ravens, Jets, and Colts, worked out for the Steelers in July. He played college football at Texas and Michigan. Marshall, who joined the Steelers in 2022, spent last season on the practice squad. — Field Level Media
