Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee are aiming to secure another team gold medal in the gymnastics all-around event on Thursday.
Lee and Biles are part of the 24 athletes competing in Thursday’s women’s all-around final at the Olympics. The event is scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on Peacock.
Both Lee and Biles have previously triumphed in this event. Lee clinched gold at the 2020 Games with a score of 15.3 on the uneven bars, beating out Rebeca Andrade who took home the silver. In 2020, Lee also earned a silver medal in the team event and a bronze in the uneven bars.

Biles qualified for the all-around final in 2020 but withdrew from the competition due to mental health concerns.
In 2016, Biles dominated the event by securing the highest score on three out of four apparatuses.
Biles is widely regarded as the greatest gymnast in Olympic history, having accumulated a total of eight medals, including five golds.
Based on the results of Tuesday’s team final, Biles, Lee, and Andrade are favored to be medal contenders. Italy’s Alice D’Amato, coming off a strong team event, is another gymnast who could challenge for a medal.
