American pommel horse specialist Stephen Nedoroscik clinched the bronze medal in the individual event at the Paris Olympics on Saturday.
The U.S. gymnast secured third place with a score of 15.3.
Just ahead, Kazakhstan’s Nariman Kurbanov claimed silver with 15.433 points, while Ireland’s Rhys McClenaghan took home the gold with 15.533 points.
Nedoroscik has gained recognition at the Olympics, earning the nickname “Clark Kent of pommel horse.” He excels in the pommel horse discipline, which is the sole event he competes in for Team USA.
Earlier in the week, Nedoroscik played a role in the U.S. men’s gymnastics team securing their first team medal since 2008. The team earned the bronze on Monday, following China and Japan in the rankings.
Nedoroscik was the lone U.S. male participant to qualify for the event finals on Saturday, where he won another medal.
This week’s Olympic achievements mark the first two medals for Nedoroscik.
