Simone Biles has earned her third gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics by winning the women’s vault final on Saturday. This brings her total Olympic medal count to 10, with seven of them being gold.
Biles played a crucial role in securing gold for the U.S. in the team final and also claimed gold in the women’s gymnastics all-around final.
During the vault final on Saturday, Biles scored 15.3 to outperform Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade, who took the silver with 14.966 points. Andrade also won silver in the all-around competition, where she and Biles were in contention for the top spot.
Biles’ teammate Jade Carey secured the bronze in the vault final with a score of 14.466.
Previously, Biles had won the gold medal for vault at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
