Acting suspicious
Brandon W. DuBois, 23, of Butte was acting suspicious sometime about 2:45 Monday morning as he was walking near the intersection of Park and Main streets.
An officer stopped to talk to him and as it turns out, DuBois had three warrants out for his arrest. He was taken to jail.
Free country
About 5:45 a.m. Sunday, officers were called because neighbors on East Copper Street were tired of the early-morning rants of Jonathan Kent, 31, of Butte.
Kent told the police that it was a free country, and he could drink beer and scream and yell all he wanted to. Officers disagreed and took him to jail for disorderly conduct.
Outstanding warrants
- During a traffic stop just before 2 a.m. Sunday, D’Angelo E. Gomez, 20, of Butte was arrested on a felony warrant out of Spokane, Washington.
- An officer saw Maddox A. Haskell, 19, of Butte about 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of South Main Street and knew he had a warrant out for his arrest for violating a protective order. He was arrested, too.
- Amanda R. Byrd, 43, of Butte was jailed Thursday on warrants for criminal possession of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
- At the request of Adult Probation & Parole, Kenneth M. Balong, 29, of Butte was taken into custody last Wednesday on warrants for criminal possession of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and parole violation.

Man punched
On Friday, Clyde P. Harrington, 40, of Butte allegedly punched a man in the 2500 block of Harrison Avenue.
He was arrested for assault and because he would not cooperate with law enforcement, was also jailed for obstructing a peace officer.
Reasonable apprehension
At 1:30 p.m. Friday, Eugene A. Chapman, 54, of Butte allegedly threatened to strike a woman in the 300 block of Indian Paint Brush Road.
Chapman was jailed for partner or family member assault, causing reasonable apprehension of bodily injury.
Found sleeping
A transient was found sleeping in a truck at 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning on South Main Street.
Turns out Eziekiel Z. Ward, 44, had some warrants for his arrest. He was also jailed for having fictious plates, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
Juvenile mischief
Late Friday morning, a juvenile male hit a golf ball into a business in the 3000 block of Grand Avenue.
Bottle thrown
A person in a silver car drove by another car late Friday night in the 700 block of West Granite Street and threw a beer bottle out the window, hitting the vehicle’s taillight.
Saturday crime
Late Saturday afternoon, a woman parked her car at Walmart, leaving the windows down and went in to do her shopping. When she returned to her car, a pair of binoculars and personal items were missing.
