The state’s largest annual event — a traditional celebration of agriculture with cheap thrills and Americana’s finest deep-fried delicacies — kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday at MetraPark in Billings.
MontanaFair will continue with entertainment, exhibits, animals and amusements running from noon to midnight through Saturday, Aug. 17.
The nine-day event draws almost a quarter of a million visitors every summer during the second week of August.
