NASA is grappling with the dilemma of how and when to bring back two astronauts from the International Space Station, as Boeing’s problematic capsule has delayed their return multiple times.
Should they take the risk and bring them back soon in Boeing’s Starliner? Or wait and return them next year with SpaceX?
Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been on the space station since early June, well beyond their planned eight-day mission and possibly extending to over eight months.
Testing is ongoing, with Boeing expressing confidence in its spacecraft while NASA is divided. A decision is expected next week.
