Two years ago, Stephen Curry had his sights set on Olympic gold after winning his fourth NBA title.
And in a defining moment, he secured that medal for himself.
Once again, the U.S. reigns supreme in international men’s basketball, with Curry leading the way to a 98-87 victory over France in the Paris Games final on Saturday night. This marks the fifth consecutive gold medal for the U.S. and the 17th in 20 all-time appearances at the games.

Curry’s impressive performance included four 3-pointers in the final 2:43, with the clinching shot coming at 1:19 left on the clock. He celebrated by proudly displaying “USA” on his jersey as he skipped down the court.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Curry delivered one more dagger with 30 seconds remaining, punctuating the win with his signature “go to sleep” move.
Good night. Game over. Gold secured. Once again.
