New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is set to start in the team’s upcoming preseason game, as confirmed by coach Brian Daboll on Sunday. Jones will lead the Giants against the Houston Texans on Saturday. This game will mark Jones’ return to action after suffering a torn ACL in a game against the Las Vegas Raiders last November. He sat out the Giants’ first preseason game, a 14-3 victory over the Detroit Lions, on Thursday. Daboll did not reveal how many snaps Jones will play against Houston, stating that he wants to assess Jones’ performance in practice before making a decision. Despite Drew Lock’s injuries, Daboll mentioned that they do not plan to add another quarterback to the roster. Jones, who signed a new contract in the 2023 offseason, has had ups and downs in his career, with two touchdown passes and six interceptions in 2023. Since being drafted in 2019, Jones has a record of 22-36-1 as a starter for the Giants. –Field Level Media
