MISSOULA — Missoula Mavericks standout Easton Reimers took to social media on Saturday night to announce his commitment to play baseball at North Dakota State in Fargo, North Dakota.
He shared the news with the following message:
“Blessed to announce my commitment to play Division I baseball at North Dakota State University! Thank you to my family and everyone who has helped me get to where I am today!”
Reimers played a pivotal role in leading the Mavs to a Montana/Alberta Class AA state championship last weekend, earning MVP honors in the process.
In a crucial game at Kindrick Legion Field in Helena, Easton delivered an outstanding performance by striking out four Helena Senators in a 4-0 victory. This win forced a decisive Game 2 for the state title, which Missoula ultimately won 6-1.
Throughout the state tournament, Reimers showcased his talent by striking out 10 batters and maintaining an impressive 0.53 ERA in 13.1 innings. His contributions helped Missoula secure the state title after a seven-year drought and secure a spot in the Northwest Regional Tournament.

“I don’t think there’s a pitcher better in the state than Easton Reimers,” praised Mavericks outfielder Brennan Labbe to 406 MT Sports. “Plain and simple. Easton Reimers is the best pitcher in Montana, in my opinion.”
Reimers, a rising senior at Missoula Sentinel, also showcased his skills at the plate by hitting .250 with a .368 on-base percentage while playing first base during the state tournament. His father, Cameron, enjoyed a professional career as a pitcher that advanced to Triple-A.
“The game itself doesn’t affect how he performs,” said Missoula manager Brent Hathaway of Easton. “It’s like he’s pitching in his backyard to his dad, honestly. Stuff doesn’t bother him. That’s unique, that’s different than most kids.”
Unfortunately, Reimers and his teammates concluded their season with two losses at regionals in Billings earlier this week.
