NFL Preseason odds for Saturday, Aug. 17Â
Saturday is the biggest day on the preseason slate this coming week, with 13 games on the schedule (odds will be added as they become available):Â
The opening week of the preseason sparked more than just a little bit of excitement for Chicago Bears fans after seeing Caleb Williams go 4-for-7 with 95 yards in an efficient NFL debut. On the other side of the field, Joe Burrow looked sharp in his preseason opener for the Bengals.
In a rematch from Week 1 a season ago, the Chiefs will play the Lions in the preseason. Patrick Mahomes played a few snaps in last week’s game while Jared Goff and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown didn’t suit up in Detroit’s opener and could debut here.Â
In Minneosta, a QB competition has taken shape and we may get a better idea this week where Sam Darnold and J.J. McCarthy stand going into the season following the Vikings’ game in Cleveland.Â
Kickoffs come in bunches Saturday evening with a full slate of games and plenty of preseason storylines, including how much playing time starting quarterbacks are getting in the exhibition games.Â
While we aren’t going to see Aaron Rodgers suit up for the Jets or Matthew Stafford for the Rams, we are likely to see a bit more of Josh Allen (Bills), Trevor Lawrence (Jaguars) and C.J. Stroud (Texans) among others in this window.Â
Pittsburgh’s QB situation is still taking shape as Justin Fields gets snaps and Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels in his second game after a promising debut.Â
NFL Preseason odds for Sunday, Aug. 18
The Week 2 NFL preseason slate closes on Sunday evening with a pair of games:Â
Bo Nix didn’t start the Broncos’ first preseason game, but he looked good once he got in there for 125 yards on an efficient 15-for-21 passing. It was announced before the first game that Nix would start the second preseason game against Green Bay.Â
