The Dude will be celebrated in Helena on Thursday at The Myrna with a showing of “The Big Lebowski.”
The “Brew and View: Big Lebowski ’24” event part costume party, part street party and part watch party, organizers said.
The Big Lebowski Brew & View returns to the Myrna this year.
“The Big Lebowski is our most popular Brew & View title. So come hang with the Dude, man.” The Myrna states on its Facebook page.
There is a costume competition and a trivia competition. The event has been running since 2015.
The party starts at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. The Myrna is at 15 N. Ewing St.
Tickets that include alcohol are $22 and offer three drinks of your choice. Non-alcohol tickets are $12 and include a soda and popcorn.
“The Big Lebowski” is a 1998 crime comedy written, directed, produced and co-edited by Joel and Ethan Coen. It stars Jeff Bridges as Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, a Los Angeles slacker and avid bowler who gets caught up in a Raymond Chandleresque mystery. It also stars John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Julianne Moore and John Turturro.
