BILLINGS — Showers and strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front. Strong winds up to 60 mph, heavy rain, and quarter-sized hail are the main threats. Daytime highs will range from the 70s west to the 90s east.
Temperatures will cool behind the cold front on Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Widespread showers are expected throughout the day and evening.
Thursday will see mostly dry conditions as high pressure builds in. Highs will remain in the 70s and 80s with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms through the weekend as temperatures warm up.
Although skies are hazy on Tuesday, air quality should be okay for most of the population. Those sensitive to wildfire smoke should check the air quality before heading outside.
