New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara missed practice on Wednesday due to back tightness. However, he did take part in the team’s walkthrough and coach Dennis Allen assured reporters that the injury was minor. Despite being a five-time Pro Bowl selection, Kamara faced suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, causing him to miss the first three games of the 2023 season. In the 13 games he played (12 starts), Kamara recorded his career-low of 694 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 180 carries. Additionally, he had 75 receptions for 466 yards and one TD last season. Throughout his seven NFL seasons, all spent with the Saints, the 29-year-old has amassed 5,829 yards and 54 scores on 1,315 carries, along with 505 receptions for 4,219 yards and 23 TDs. Kamara skipped mandatory minicamp in June as he aims to secure a new contract with New Orleans. –Field Level Media
