BILLINGS — A new round of showers and thunderstorms swept through Montana and Wyoming on Wednesday afternoon and evening, providing much-needed rain to some areas, although not as many as hoped. These showers and storms will continue into the night, but should clear out by Thursday morning.
Thursday will bring brighter and warmer weather to our region as we experience a brief break between low-pressure systems. On Friday, a third disturbance in four days will head our way, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening before dissipating overnight.
Over the weekend, a strong ridge of high pressure will build over the Intermountain West, dominating our weather until the middle of next week. Saturday will see more sunshine, while Sunday and Monday may bring increasing clouds with the chance of showers and thunderstorms.
