MISSOULA — The Montana football team has improved depth at tight end compared to last year, with returning players and new additions.
Cole Grossman, an All-American, is back after missing the previous season due to surgery. He is joined by Evan Shafer and Erik Barker, forming a trio of experienced seniors at tight end.
Montana’s tight ends had limited receptions last season due to various reasons, including the absence of Grossman and the presence of other playmakers on the team. Head coach Bobby Hauck emphasizes the role of tight ends in both blocking and receiving.
