A set of amazing photos of bobcat kittens playing with golf balls near the fairway of a Colorado golf course were captured by a photographer who happened to be in the right place at the right time.
David and Lynn Townsend were documenting the StemBlazers golf tournament fundraiser at Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton when they noticed an unusual sight near the course’s 13th hole.
They spotted four bobcat kittens playing in the rough next to the fairway and quickly switched their focus to capturing these playful moments.
David shared these photos in Denver7’s Discover Colorado | Through Your Photos photography group on Facebook, receiving a lot of attention for the unique encounter.
According to Arrowhead’s assistant GM Kenny Windey, the area is home to a variety of wildlife, including a healthy bobcat population and other animals like mountain lions and deer.
Despite their diverse portfolio, David and Lynn’s love for nature and landscapes is evident in their work, making this encounter with the bobcat kittens even more special for them.
And as for what to do if a bobcat steals your golf ball on the course, the U.S. Golf Association’s rulebook provides guidelines for such situations, ensuring fair play even in the presence of wildlife interruptions.
