MONTANA – There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in all but northeast Montana this evening. Radar shows them developing across the western third of the state.
Temperatures ranged today from the upper 70s to upper 80s. Winds ranged from 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph near storms.
A storm system will bring showers and thunderstorms to western Montana this evening, migrating into central areas over into Friday and finally into northeast Montana Friday night.
A northwest flow is bringing Canadian smoke into northeast Montana where there is a dense smoke advisory until 6 pm Friday. This includes the Glasgow and Jordan areas.
Drier weather is expected this weekend accompanied by a warming trend, with temperatures going from near or below normal to above normal by early next week.
Lows tonight in the 40s and 50s with highs tomorrow in the 70s and 80s. Highs warm into the 80s and 90s by early next week.
