ABC has unveiled its Fall 2024 programming lineup, following earlier announcements about series that were renewed or canceled. As previously confirmed, unscripted shows Celebrity Jeopardy, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, Dancing With the Stars, American Idol, and others are set to return for new seasons. Notably, Katy Perry will not be returning as a judge in the eighth season of American Idol at ABC, with Carrie Underwood taking her place. The Bachelor has also been renewed for Season 29. Shows like Shark Tank and What Would You Do? will be making a comeback as well.
On the scripted front, acclaimed shows like Abbott Elementary and The Conners will be returning for new seasons, while Not Dead Yet will not be continuing after two seasons. The Good Doctor and Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Station 19 will also wrap up their seasons. Fans can look forward to the return of ABC’s beloved show, Grey’s Anatomy, for an exciting 21st season.

New ABC shows
High Potential and Doctor Odyssey were previously announced by the network, but ABC surprised viewers with the addition of Scamanda, a new documentary series premiering this fall.
High Potential centers around Morgan, a single mother with exceptional problem-solving abilities, who forms an unconventional partnership with a seasoned detective, played by Daniel Sunjata. The series, based on the popular French show Haut Potentiel Intellectuel, is created by Oscar-nominated writer Drew Goddard.
Doctor Odyssey, created by Ryan Murphy, follows Max, the new doctor on a luxury cruise ship, as he navigates unique medical crises alongside his medical team. The high-octane procedural drama is set to air on Thursday nights alongside 9-1-1 and Grey’s Anatomy.
Scamanda, based on a popular podcast, tells the story of Amanda Riley, whose cancer story captivates many but hides a dark secret that may be exposed after an investigative journalist receives an anonymous tip.
The Golden Bachelorette is another new addition to the fall lineup, serving as the official successor to The Golden Bachelor.
