Families First: Back to School Bash
Join Families First as they celebrate the transition from summer to the new school year. The event will take place on Aug. 18 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Families First Classroom on Level Two of the library. Attendees can expect a range of school supplies, activities, books, and fun ways to kickstart the school year. Please note that supplies are limited.
Tiny Tales @ EmPower Place
Tiny Tales is returning to EmPower Place! This engaging program uses sounds, rhythms, and movement to assist children in learning to read. Participants will engage in singing songs, learning finger-plays and nursery rhymes, and enjoying storytelling. The program takes place every Tuesday, with the next session scheduled for Aug. 20 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the conference room on the 2nd floor of EmPower Place at 1720 Wyoming Street in Missoula.

‘Becoming Little Shell’ Book Launch with Chris La Tray
Celebrate the release of “Becoming Little Shell: A Landless Indian’s Journey Home” with author Chris La Tray on Aug. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Cooper Room A/B on Level Four. The book combines the story of the Little Shell Chippewa Tribe, the history of the Métis people, and La Tray’s personal journey. Fact & Fiction Bookstore will be present to sell copies of the book. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Game On! @ MPL
Engage in gaming fun at MPL every Thursday from 2:30-5:30 on Level Two. Gamers can use Switch games and controllers to showcase their skills. The next Game On! session is on Aug. 22 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Imaginarium on Level Two.
