Reports indicate that Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Mekhi Becton suffered an injury to his right leg during practice on Sunday. Becton, known for his role as an offensive tackle, is vying for the starting right guard position against Tyler Steen, who sustained an injury in the Eagles’ recent game against the New England Patriots. Becton was signed by the Eagles in April on a one-year contract worth $2.75 million. Originally the 11th overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2020 NFL Draft, Becton had a strong rookie season starting 13 of 14 games. However, injuries in subsequent seasons limited his playing time. In 2023, he played all 16 games at 95% of the offensive snaps, but the Jets decided not to exercise their fifth-year option on him. –Field Level Media
