The Billings Mustangs secured an 11-4 victory against the Ogden Raptors in the finale of their series at Dehler Park on Sunday, also clinching the six-game homestand.
With a record of 37-41 overall and 15-15 in the second half, Billings has now won seven of its last nine games, enhancing its playoff chances with 18 regular-season games left to play.
In a showdown against the Raptors (35-42, 13-17), the Mustangs amassed 15 hits on Sunday and scored six runs in the third inning, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
Although Abe Valdez’s solo home run was the only homer of the game, Billings managed to score runs through Gabe Wurtz and Blake Evans each contributing two RBIs. Connor Denning and Evan Blum, who both hit homers the previous night, also added RBIs on Sunday.

Justin Fuson, the Mustangs starter, earned his second win of the year after pitching 5 2/3 innings and striking out nine Raptors while allowing three runs off five hits. Relievers Daniel Willie, Earl Johnson, and Jonathan Haab combined to allow just one run on three hits the rest of the way.
Billings will look to continue their winning streak as they face the Great Falls Voyagers in another six-game series at Dehler, starting at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday.
