The Great Falls Voyagers secured victories over the Missoula PaddleHeads in a doubleheader at Ogren-Allegiance Park on Saturday night.
The first game ended in a 2-2 tie after seven innings, with the Voyagers emerging as winners in the first extra frame with three home runs by Devin Hurdle. The PaddleHeads struggled in the second game, losing 10-5 after a strong start.
Missoula’s PaddleHeads, with the best record in the Pioneer League, now stand at 55-22 after suffering their third consecutive loss. Meanwhile, the Voyagers, with the worst record in the league, improved to 28-49 with their third consecutive win.
In the opener, Dawson Day showcased impressive pitching for the hosts, shutting out Great Falls for four innings, allowing only one hit and striking out seven. Christian Ciuffetelli and Ethan Swanson also contributed to the pitching effort.

The PaddleHeads tied the game at 2-2 in the seventh inning, but were unable to secure a win in the extra frame, despite a clutch RBI double by Cam Thompson.
The nightcap saw a challenging start for Jonathan Clark on the mound, giving up seven runs in the first two innings. The PaddleHeads responded with five runs of their own, including two-run home runs by Collin Runge and Kamron Willman.
Great Falls extended their lead to 9-5 in the fourth inning, with Missoula failing to score for the remaining frames. Willman led the team with two hits in the game.
The series between Missoula and Great Falls concludes on Sunday afternoon.
