I recently checked in with Village Inn Pizza Parlor after some concerned citizens noticed the lack of signage on their façade. I’m happy to report to the Billings community that they are open and everything is in order. Their temporary sign keeps getting blown onto the roof by the recent heavy winds.
“The current sign on the building is a temporary solution,” explained part-owner Brittany Jorgenson-Smith. “We are waiting on permitting, so it’s a waiting game.”
A permanent sign featuring the iconic big red metal PIZZA letters from the original building’s A-frame roof is being planned for their new façade. Jorgenson-Smith isn’t certain about the exact design of the sign yet, but assures that the big red letters will be easily recognizable.
“We are incredibly grateful for the community’s support. It’s been a fantastic summer for us,” Jorgenson-Smith expressed.

For those waiting for a good time to visit, Jorgenson-Smith mentioned that the initial excitement and long wait times have subsided since their opening.
“We appreciate the enthusiastic support from everyone. The initial chaos with long waits has improved, thanks to everyone’s patience and continued patronage. We can’t thank everyone enough.”
In other Billings food news, Piroshky Piroshky, an Eastern European style bakery hailing from Pike Place Market in Seattle is hosting a pre-order, pop-up event in Billings next week.
Opened in 1992 by Olga Sagan, the bakery gained national recognition, catching the eye of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain and Smithsonian Magazine, labeling it as one of America’s most iconic food destinations. Piroshky Piroshky has been traveling across the country hosting pop-up events in recent years, and now it’s Montana’s turn to join the foodie experience.
