BILLINGS — The weather in Billings will transition from hot and unsettled to slightly cooler and unsettled as the week progresses. There is a possibility of storms with gusty winds or small hail.
Temperatures in August will remain above normal, especially in the next few days with highs in the 80s to mid 90s across the region on Monday and Tuesday.
Stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and take breaks from the heat to take care of yourself. Though there may be some smoke and haze from wildfires, it is not expected to significantly impact air quality.
The majority of precipitation is expected over the mountains, but there is a chance of stronger storms Sunday and Monday evenings, particularly to the north and east of Billings. These storms could bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail.
Temperatures are projected to cool down around midweek, with highs in the 70s to 80s. This may bring calmer weather with a slight chance of storms, especially near the mountains.
Friday may be warmer, with temperatures decreasing again for the weekend. Thursday appears to be the best day without the possibility of a shower or thunderstorm in the area.
