Fortunately, no injuries were reported in a fire incident that occurred on Tuesday at the Dallas Cowboys’ hotel in Oxnard, Calif., where the team is holding its training camp. The fire broke out in one of the guest rooms at the River Ridge Residence Inn, but luckily the room was unoccupied at the time. Cowboys players and coaches were not present during the incident as they were preparing for a walk-through following a nearly two-hour practice session. The Cowboys released a statement confirming the fire emergency in the guest room, assuring that it was contained to that one room and reiterating that there were no injuries. They also expressed gratitude to the Oxnard Fire Department and Police Department for their prompt response. During training camp in California, only Cowboys team members and staff are accommodated at the hotel, which is not open to the general public. Dallas is set to have their final padded practice in Oxnard on Wednesday before returning home on Thursday. The Cowboys will wrap up their preseason with a game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday. –Field Level Media
