Over the weekend, the premiere of “Alien: Romulus” dominated the box office, reaching the top spot with a domestic gross of over $40 million. Although it didn’t match the success of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” the R-rated movie performed well.

Netflix is gearing up for the release of another horror movie, “The Deliverance,” directed by Lee Daniels. The film, starring Andra Day, Glenn Close, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Mo’Nique, will hit the streaming service on Aug. 30 following a limited theatrical release.
