Story Time for Diverse Abilities
Join Youth Services librarians when they read a selection of engaging stories geared toward teens through adults with cognitive or other disabilities. This program is held twice a month with the next Story Time happening on Aug. 26 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Families First Classroom on Level Two of the library.
KFGM Presents: The FreeSessions
The FreeSessions is an improvised music and movement jam session to promote collaboration amongst creatives in Missoula. The next session is held on Aug. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Cooper Room A/B on Level Four of the library and is curated by Teague Goodvoice. Goodvoice is a Pikuni Native American flute player as well as painter from Browning. Doors are at 5 p.m. and jams are from 6 to 8 pm. For more information visit 1015kfgm.org/.

4HistoryBuffs: Soaking Up the History of Montana’s Hot Springs Resorts with Jeff Birky
This month we will discuss Montana’s hot springs bubble with fascinating stories of Native American legends, miraculous cures, isolated wilderness soaks and glittering spas. Crude bathhouses built by early settlers in the 1800s gave way to ornate bathing resorts and social gathering centers. Some of these palatial resorts featured luxurious furnishings and service rivaling those found in Europe. This presentation is held on Aug. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Cooper Room A/B on Level Four of the library.
KFGM A/V Club
On Aug. 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the MCAT Studio on Level One of the library KFGM hosts the A/V Club workshop and creative meetup. No experience required, workshops are free, and materials are provided.

Families First: Community Connections
On Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Families First Classroom on Level Two of the library kids can enjoy mini-interactive exhibits that inspire hands-on exploration and play while focusing on building empathy & kindness, social-emotional development, cultural expression, and imaginative & dramatic play.
Young Adult Writers’ Group
For writers and aspiring writers ages 16-19. We share our work aloud including poems, stories, songs, rants and novels and give and receive respectful feedback. All genres, tones and styles are welcome. The next group is held on Aug. 30 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Art Box and virtually on Zoom.
