Traveling dusty roads in a school bus just a few shades darker than quaking aspen, 24 students and two teachers arrived to participate in what was billed as Montana’s Wood Products Appreciation Day 2024.
Dave Krueger, a procurement forester for Sun Mountain Lumber, relied on his pickup’s mobile radio to guide what he called “the school bus parade” to avoid run-ins with loaded logging trucks.
