BUTTE, Mont. – The Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) is bringing pesticide disposal events to Eureka, Clearwater Junction and Butte in July.
The MDA program, which will take place in the second week of July, will help people dispose of pesticides that have become unusable as originally intended or cannot be used responsibly for other purposes, according to the Facebook post by Butte Silver-Bow.
The 2024 Pesticide Waste Collection events are coming to Eureka on Tuesday, July 9, to Clearwater Junction on Wednesday, June 10, and to Butte on Thursday, July 11.
Pre-registration for these events ends on July 1. Products will be weighed at the site.
There will be no charge for the first 200 pounds of material, but it will cost $1.00 per pound after the initial free 200.
