FORT WORTH, Texas — On the same day the final episodes of “Yellowstone” received a release date, Kevin Costner officially confirmed that he’s not returning to Dutton Ranch.
The Paramount Network announced Thursday that “Yellowstone” will return for its final run of episodes on Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET. These last few episodes will finish out Season 5, and the series as a whole.
In a 43-second clip posted to his 1.5 million Instagram followers Thursday evening, Costner officially confirmed that he will not be returning for the final episodes of “Yellowstone.”
“Thinking about ‘Yellowstone,’ that beloved series that I love, that I know you love,” Costner said. “I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue season 5B or into the future.”
Costner said after working on his four-part movie series “Horizon: An American Saga” for the last year and a half, he wanted to take a minute and address the fans of “Yellowstone” about his future on the show.

He went on to praise “Yellowstone” in the video, saying that it “really changed” him and that he “loved it.”
“I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning,” Costner said. “I love the relationship we’ve been able to develop and I’ll see you at the movies.”
