MISSOULA — Starting a mixed martial arts career at the age of thirty-two may seem late in the game.
However, for Jake Burritt from Missoula, it seems to be the perfect time.
“I made a couple of bad mistakes about six years ago and it led me to prison,” said Burritt, who recently won a split decision in a middleweight bout in Missoula.
After turning his life around and finding his passion for fitness and helping others while incarcerated, Burritt is now pursuing a career in mixed martial arts.
Aside from his success in the octagon, Burritt is also making a positive impact outside of it, working as a group fitness instructor and using his physical abilities in fighting.
