BILLINGS — Following a scorching Sunday where some areas reached triple digits (Sheridan, WY hit 103°), Monday and Tuesday will be cooler due to a passing cold front. Daytime temperatures will still be around 80s, about 10° above normal.
Monday is expected to be dry, although there is a chance for showers in southern MT/northern WY in the afternoon and early evening. Billings may even experience some raindrops.
Tuesday and Wednesday will also be dry, with a slight chance of isolated showers and possibly a thunderstorm on Wednesday afternoon into the evening. Thursday brings a better chance for showers and thunderstorms due to a Pacific trough influencing the area, with potential for strong to severe storms.
Friday will see mainly dry conditions with daytime highs cooling into the 60s and 70s.
Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures will warm up on Saturday with highs in the 70s and some 80s, then mainly 80s on Sunday. Isolated showers are expected on Sunday.
