Another feasibility study commissioned by a group advocating for a mega-sports and event center in Helena has found that such a facility would be “economically sustainable.” The study projects profits starting at $371,663 in the opening year and increasing to $688,713 by the fifth year.
The study indicates that over a five-year period, the facility would have $5,018,355 in expenses and $5,613,318 in revenue, resulting in a $594,964 surplus. It is projected to open fully in 2026, with construction time factored in and 30 annual events planned per year along with a dedicated fund for capital improvements.
