ROCKER, Mont. — Butte is aiming to take advantage of the summer weather by introducing new economic opportunities, and the Silver Bow Event Center in Rocker is expected to play a key role in this endeavor.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony held on Saturday evening, the Silver Bow Event Center officially opened its doors in Rocker, conveniently located near the intersection of I-15 and I-90 to the west of Butte.
This versatile events venue replaces the former Sagebrush Sam’s gentlemen’s club, a transformation that owner Rick Joseph is excited about as it now offers entertainment options suitable for the whole family.
“Whether you’re a newborn or a 150-year-old, everyone is welcome here,” stated Rick Joseph, the CEO and president of the Rick M. Joseph Family of Companies. “From concerts to various events, we cater to all age groups.”
The presence of the Chamber of Commerce at the opening ceremony signals Butte’s interest in leveraging the potential of the Silver Bow Event Center to boost summer tourism in the county.
“We have plans to host motocross events outdoors, as well as large concerts,” Joseph mentioned. “We already have a group booking for over 550 people.”
Joseph added, “Attendees don’t just visit the Event Center; they also stay at local hotels and dine in restaurants, contributing significantly to the economy of Silver Bow County.”
In addition to hosting big events, the Event Center aims to support local artists, with performances by High Ore Road and others like Matt Wallin and the Berkeley Pits lined up for the summer.
