Radar shows showers and thunderstorms developing across southcentral and western Montana.
A few of these storms could be strong, with winds ranging from 5 to 15 mph and gusts near 30. A strong cold front is expected to move into Montana late tonight and tomorrow, bringing much cooler air to the west and very warm to hot conditions ahead of it.
There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with severe weather possible across the eastern half of the state.
Friday will be much cooler with wrap-around rain due to low pressure in Canada. The weekend will be drier and warmer as high pressure builds into the state.
Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s and 50s, dropping to the lower 60s in southcentral and eastern Montana.
Highs on tomorrow will be in the upper 60s and 70s in the west and central regions, and in the 80s and lower 90s in southcentral and eastern Montana.
Highs will drop to the 60s and lower 70s statewide on Friday before bouncing back over the weekend.
